Day 31 Life Hopefully Continues

When one intentionally overindulges, he should expect consequences.

Because it makes sense, as scientists have said, that for every action there is a similar reaction. So my binging
should have created equally negative consequences. Happily, I can tell you that my overindulgences have caused  no negative consequences!

I had a wonderful day today. Final day of the experiment to enjoy something special for 31 days of one's birthday month. I road the rails to San Diego, had a ferry ride to Coronado, biked to the beach, enjoyed a new read, moved on to the 19th hole, missed the ferry, enjoyed an IPA, made the ferry, made the rails home where my wonderful wife invited me to a sunset drink on the harbor.

Day 10 - High Jinx (Guest blogger RTR)

It's a typical day at the beach- but which beach? Do I just enjoy the local playground or take it south? During this stirring conversation with myself, the wife comes home unexpectedly. No worries, I was decent. Well, as decent as I can be, which is sketchy.
So her news was a new work schedule and other opportunities offered. Lucky me, I mean us! Another reason to celebrate. So she went back to work and I headed down the coast to reunite with her later.

Not The Wife

I have discovered that no matter what sand position I choose, young ladies also choose my immediate area. This is great and also disappointing.

I love the view but I understand that I am completely non-threatening. The balance scale of life...

Great happy hour at the Mission Brewery found us enjoying ourselves again and realizing that life takes many turns, but with the proper attitude...

Day Two: A Kayak and two IPA's (Guest Blogger RTR)

So the quest continues into day 2 of B-Day

month.

I decided to wake up early so I could drop the wife at work

and use the car for transporting the kayak to the harbor.  It's

just a Cobra Explorer but it is sea worthy and self-baling.

I used six bungee cords where two probably would have

sufficed. ( It's only a 1/2 mile drive to the harbor. ) Anyway, a

beautiful morning on the water. A leisurely paddle

around and out to sea and pier. Saw the boats from the other

side as I ride my bike most days around the harbor.

Next time the kayak hits the water it will be in a new

environment.

After a clean-up, the Mission Ave Bar & Grill was calling out

and a tasty Left Coast IPA went down without a whimper.

I'm always amazed at how many people are drinking beers

at 1 PM on a Tuesday. Is every one having a B-Day month?

As the crowd seemed to be all up in their phones, I moved

on. The wife's rescue from work was still an hour away so I

rolled to the Pour House where I was forced to enjoy another

IPA. ( Stone ) Met a young man who attended the same high

school as my children. Ah, bar talk can be so pleasant.

Keep it flowing, O-Side.
